Contreras Martial Arts Academy Cubs Taekwondo
The Cubs program is designed to meet the needs of preschool students ages 4 and 5 years old. The main focus of this program is to prepare our students to not only enter our junior TaeKwonDo classes but to prepare them for school. Many children this age have spent time in group or individual care (day care, babysitters, children’s church) but most have never been in a formal learning environment that consists of a peer group, a teacher, and expected goals of learning. In our Cubs classes, students strengthen their social skills, self-discipline, mental readiness, large motor skills and coordination in a fun martial arts experience.
If your child wants to become a Martial Arts Champion, the first step is mastering the basics.
Lesson #1? Having fun. Contreras Martial Arts Academy, we believe that the secret to success in Martial Arts is having a love for the art before anything else. When students have a genuine passion for Taekwondo, they practice and perform with a level of vigor, enthusiasm, and confidence that can’t be taught. When it comes to our pre-school-aged students, fostering that passion is our top priority. We teach our Cubs basic Taekwondo techniques in ways that are fun and exciting. By incorporating lots of games and group activities, students don’t even realize how much they’re learning while they’re playing and getting their energy out.
Contreras Martial Arts Academy Taekwondo training is every parent’s dream. We believe that instilling lifelong values and morals from a young age is just as important as teaching students the perfect sidekick. At Contreras Martial Arts Academy, we teach our toddler martial artists how to be respectful towards adults, demonstrate discipline in school and at home, be patient and kind with friends and classmates, eat healthily and take care of their bodies, and stay safe. By enrolling your child in a Taekwondo class at Contreras Martial Arts Academy, you are setting them up for success in their future friendships, academic experiences, and life choices.
